What is Canberra Matrix
To be eligible to apply for an ACT nomination, you must be able to satisfy the Canberra Matrix. The Canberra Matrix is a points-based system from SkillSelect EOI that will determine the applicant's merit based on their occupation, residence, employment, English, study, and investment.
For subclass 190
So far, the minimum Canberra Matrix score needed to receive an invitation for a 190 visa has been 70. However, for specific priority occupations or occupations with a low number of successful applicants in the ACT, invitations have been extended to applicants with a score of 65 points.
For subclass 491
The minimum Canberra Matrix score needed to receive an invitation for a subclass 491 visa has been 60. Nevertheless, ACT has extended invitations to overseas applicants with a score of 50 points, particularly for specific priority occupations and occupations where there have been few successful applicants.
