    Temporary visa suitable for international students who recently graduated from an Australian academic institute.

    Temporary Graduate Visa Stream

      • For international students who recently graduated with a bachelor degree (or above) from an Australian institution.

      • For international students who recently graduated with a diploma in skills and qualifications relevant to in demand specific occupations in Australia.

      • The main applicant must be under 50 years of age at the date of lodgement.

  • Overview

    A 5 year provisional visa allowing skilled workers and their families to live, work and study in designated regional areas of Australia. Successful visa holders will be eligible to apply for a Permanent residency three years after their visa is granted.

      • The main applicant must be under 45 years of age to be invited to apply.

    • Points-test

      • You must be able to score at least 65 points or more with necessary evidence to claim all points

    • Skills requirements

      • Occupation must be on the combined list of eligible skilled occupations for a 491 visa.

    • Nomination requirements

      • Main applicant must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency or;

      • Sponsored by an eligible family member residing in a designated regional area and be invited to apply for the visa

      • For eligible family members 18 years or older:

        • Functional English or;

        • Must pay a second instalment visa application charge

    • Be able to find work in their field in Australia or become independently establish their field in the country

    • Internationally recognised with a record of achievement

      • Prominent in their field

      • Have superior abilities among others in their field

      • Acclaimed as exceptional in any country in their field of practice

      • Have a record of sustained achievements that is not to decline in the near future

    • Nominated or endorsed by an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen who has a national reputation in the same field

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In general, applicants must obtain a minimum of 65 points on their points assessment. An applicant must submit an expression of interest (EOI) and be invited by SkillSelect.

  • For General skilled migration visas, the age limit to migrate is 45 years of age. There are no exceptions.

  • Skilled migration visas are valid for up to five years. These visas allow highly skilled migrants to live and work in specified regional parts of Australia.

  • If main applicants fail to provide the required documents or submit the wrong formats, it will likely lead to a visa refusal.

  • If you are applying for visa subclass 189, you are not required to have a job offer, nomination or sponsorship from any Australian firm or territory. You just have to meet certain criteria to be eligible to apply.

  • The minimum skills assessment score for skilled visa application is at least 65 points. All points claimed are to be proven with necessary documents or the visa application will be refused.
