OCCUPATION AND EVIDENCE FIRST. STATE STRATEGY SECOND.
Is Your Skilled-Migration Strategy Still Realistic?
Compare your nominated occupation, skills assessment, English, points, location, state connections and employer alternatives before relying on a past invitation score or a generic EOI.
A 65-point threshold does not guarantee an invitation. Past round scores are evidence, not forecasts. State programs apply their own changing requirements.

YOUR SKILLED MIGRATION QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Understand your options and what to do next
-
No. For the points-tested 189, 190 and 491 visas, 65 points is the minimum threshold, but meeting it does not guarantee an invitation. Your prospects depend on your occupation, points and the relevant selection process. We assess your profile and identify practical ways to strengthen it.
-
Yes. We compare your occupation, qualifications, work experience and circumstances against state and territory nomination requirements. We explain where you meet the criteria and which options are worth considering. Nomination decisions remain with each state or territory, so no invitation can be guaranteed.
-
No. An Expression of Interest, or EOI, is not a visa application and does not give you a bridging visa or extend your current visa. If your visa is approaching expiry, we can assess your options for remaining lawfully in Australia alongside your skilled migration plans.
-
Start with your current CV, qualifications and any English test or skills assessment results you already have. Let us know your age, current location, visa status and migration goals. You can still speak with us if you have not completed an English test or skills assessment.
-
Possibly. The assessment pathway depends on your trade, passport country, training and employment history. Some pathways can assess experienced workers without a formal qualification, while others require one. We review your background before recommending an assessment or further training.
-
For points-tested skilled migration, you generally also need a suitable migration skills assessment. Nursing registration through the NMBA and Ahpra allows you to practise, while ANMAC assesses your skills for migration. Your registration status helps determine which ANMAC assessment pathway applies.
-
No. Social workers are assessed by the Australian Association of Social Workers, or AASW. Your social work qualification and the relevant assessment requirements need to be reviewed separately. We help identify the assessment suited to your qualifications and migration plans.
-
For a new migration skills assessment as an Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teacher, the assessing authority is ACECQA. We review your qualifications, course content and teaching placements against the relevant requirements. Approval to work in early childhood education and any teacher registration requirements also need separate consideration.
-
No. Teacher registration and a migration skills assessment serve different purposes. If your visa pathway requires a skills assessment for a school-teacher occupation assessed by AITSL, registration alone does not replace it. We check the requirements for your exact teaching occupation and circumstances.
-
It depends on your qualification and its accreditation. Engineers Australia offers accredited-qualification pathways and a Competency Demonstration Report, or CDR, pathway. We review your degree and intended engineering occupation to identify the appropriate route before you begin preparing an application.
